This is a picture of my friend Jim Richard Wilson, Jim is in the middle with his back to the camera, holding court. Jim and I met through seakayaking, aka "the long boats." When we were together, we paddled, we talked about paddling and boats. Jim has an encyclopedic knowledge of long boat designs and history. I was memorized at the depth of his knowledge and skills. But we pretty much always were focused on the water. It saddens me we didn't get to spend some time on an epic ocean adventure. Only through drips of information did I learn of Jim's art background and just recently of how important a fixture in the art community.  Godspeed Jim, on your final journey, Peace bro.

Last November Pete Devit organized a paddle on Lake George and invited Jim and Celia and others along. I had the good fortune to attend and paddle with Jim. It was probably the last time he was able to get out. Photo attached.
